Spring Lane Campus
Our Spring Lane Campus is home to our dedicated animal, land-based, and horticulture facilities, and more than 200 species. This newly refurbished site is set over 2 hectares with a wide range of facilities including a glass house, polytunnels, orchards and wildlife areas and ponds.
Our Junior College is also based on this beautiful site, offering an exciting alternative hands-on curriculum for those aged 14-16.
Our Breakout Spaces
Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
The Learning Resource Centre is situated on the first and second floor of the main building known as K block.
The LRC is home to the College’s Wellbeing Centre collection of books, online resources, and quiet study spaces.
Outside Space
Throughout the college campus, you’ll find picnic benches and relaxing seating areas that offer the perfect environment to unwind or study.
These spots are ideal for socialising with friends or enjoying a quiet moment between classes.
Refectory
Our Refectory is open throughout the day, offering a wide selection of hot and cold meals, along with a variety of refreshing drinks for both staff and students.
With ample seating available, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy your meal and socialise with friends.
Streetside Coffee
Our Streetside Coffee Shop is open throughout the day, offering a delightful range of delicious food and a variety of hot and cold beverages, including expertly brewed coffees, refreshing teas, and indulgent hot chocolate.
Wellbeing Centre
Our Wellbeing Room, located in the LRC, is available to any student who requires a quiet space, or wishes to speak with a counsellor or progression mentor.

Construction and Built Environment Workshops
In our Construction and Built Environment Workshops, you’ll find tools and equipment for hands-on learning in each trade.
These workshops offer practical experience in bricklaying, electrical installations, plumbing tasks, and woodworking, helping you develop essential skills in a real-world setting.
Green Engineering Centre and Mechatronic Lab
This learning zone designed to future proof learners and train businesses how to use emerging technologies.
Students will use modern equipment, including four KUKA robotic arms, manufacturing simulation systems, 3D printers, and advanced lathes and milling machinery. These tools allow students to develop skills in programming, automation, and traditional manufacturing techniques.
Immersive Classroom
Connect with workshops, other students and industry professionals from across the world thanks to our Immersive Classroom.
From joining guest speakers to taking part in interactive workshops and demonstrations through VR (Virtual Reality), this space can become anything that you need.
Medical Simulation Suites
Our students have access to state-of-the-art medical simulation suites that provide hands-on experience in realistic healthcare environments, such as hospital wards and health care settings.
These fully equipped suites allow you to practice essential skills using advanced medical equipment like defibrillators and diagnostic tools. The suites feature manikins that simulate various medical conditions, enabling you to respond to emergencies and refine your clinical decision-making.
The Lanfranc Theatre
The Lanfranc Theatre is a fully functional venue where Music and Performing Arts students can step into the spotlight and showcase their talent in a professional setting.
With professional lighting and sound systems, it’s the perfect space to rehearse, perform, and present to a live audience while preparing for a successful career in the industry.
EKC Canterbury Sports Centre
Home to our Sports students, our Sports Centre boasts:
- A large sports hall with wooden semi-sprung flooring
- Underfloor heating throughout
- A modern gym with brand-new equipment
- A fitness studio with wooden semi-sprung flooring
Our doors are open to everyone – students, the public and local businesses.
Staff and students get reduced rates on gym memberships with us.
The Salon
The Salon is the high-street-quality commercial salon at Canterbury College. It offers a range of hair, beauty and nail treatments under the supervision of industry experts.
It is the perfect place to unwind and get that little bit of time just for yourself – without breaking the bank. Appointments are available throughout term time, but at certain points in the academic year appointments may be unavailable.
Students can get a variety of treatments at reduced rates, as well as the chance to be models for our Hair and Beauty students during assessments.
