Advice and Guidance

EKC Canterbury College’s Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) team offer free and impartial support to help you explore your next steps.

The College holds the Matrix Quality Standard for information, advice and guidance and has also been awarded a Beacon Award for Student Support.

Our services include:

  • Tailored course advice and guidance
  • Careers advice and planning
  • Advanced Learner Loan advice
  • ESOL support
  • Individual progression support up to Level 1
  • Range of workshops for Level 2, 3 and HE students
  • University advice and UCAS application support

We also hold a series of guidance sessions where you can speak to an advisor about a range of topics including career progression, funding advice, course guidance and support services.

Dedicated Careers and Progression staff

Our Careers Officers, Karen, Katie, Rachel, and Liz are located in the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) office opposite reception, and are available to talk to you about your future career, further study or any progression questions you may have.

Workshops and interactive sessions

Our team of Learning and Skills Coaches are on hand to provide students with additional support, to ensure they put their best foot forward.

Students can take part in sessions covering a range of topics such as study and revision tips, and how to start thinking about their next steps.

    • Tue 8.45am–5pm

    • Wed 8.45am–5pm

    • Thu 8.45am–5pm

    • Fri 8.45am–4.30pm
